goddamn Yuji you've got to be one of the best protagonists/antagonists ever right now.

his personality changed quite a bit though--- which I guess is reasonable since he DID merge with someone else. Cause otherwise although he was getting more proactive all second season he was nowhere near this level.

also, wonder what happened to Alastor by end of ep, since I don't see Shana wearing the pendant anymore...

Oh I am fine with this plot for now and waiting for them to explain it later... if nothing else, this is one hell of a creative turn that most light novels are sorely lacking.

the only thing I'm afraid of now is that Shana gets a tragic ending at the end where Shana has to sacrifice herself to summon Alastor and defeat Yuji...

cause it would parallel exactly what happened to Alastor's previous contractor, who did pretty much the same after defeating the Tomogara Lord (Rainbow Wings Merihim) who loved her...

and I think I finally understand wtf is going on here now--- the key being that this world makes use of the oddest deity/contract + divine intervention system I've ever heard of.

Watched 2 seasons of Index waiting for something like this and it never delivered...

FINALLY, MAGIC VS TECH!
first stop, arcane archer vs. battleship
second stop, 2 mahou shoujo vs. 1 heavy mech
choreography was just plain excellent :D

MOTHERFUCKING GODDAMMIT!!

It's been a while since a show has made me rage which is amazing since I'm extremely forgiving. Apparently it's a good thing I haven't read the original since according to fans I would have raged even harder. Mayucchi (pictured) is pretty much the source of all the points I'm giving it.

All of them only had 12 episodes this season. 

Edit:  right after posting this (of course) I noticed that some of these have more than 12 episodes  /facepalm

Yeah, Mirai Nikki is just taking a week off for the new year, and the second half of Fate/Zero isn't airing 'till April. =(
