For members interested in reading, the Comics and Anime Club at UVa offers a humble collection of comic books, graphic novels, and manga.  To browse the available selection and find up-to-date information regarding the library, follow this link:

CAINE Comics & Manga Library

For 2010-2011, the library can be found in the basement level of CAINE House.  For directions, please ask any of the current officers and/or known residents of the house.
For 2011-2012 - Newcomb Lockers on the 4th Floor.  See an officer for assistance in checking out content.
For 2012-2013 - TBD

Traditionally, the officers mediate the circulation of the collection, so please make a request to one of the officers as to which book(s) you would like to check out so the index can be updated.  You can then collect the book at the house, provided you have made arrangements with one of the residents (preferably Honya), or ask that someone bring it to the next meeting.

Please promptly return any checked out items to the library upon finishing them, and notify an officer the book has been returned to the library.

As mentioned tonight, a friend and I are working on a database for the CAINE library as a class project.  I'll outline some of the details more once we have the preliminary designs and some working code in development.

Currently planned features include:

• Easy addition of new purchases to listings

I was looking through the selection and wanted to ask if we could get a copy of Batman: The Long Halloween.

The Long Halloween is a good one.  If you pick that up, you should also get its direct sequel, Dark Victory.  Dark Victory's the only Batman+Robin story that I think is worth it (sorry Grant Morrison).

At the planning meeting last night, the officers discussed some logistics regarding collection access. What (I think) we arrived at was that there will/should be an officer at Newcomb 389 around 30 minutes prior to Thursday meetings. From there, he/she can take anyone up to the collection to check stuff out.
