Greetings Caine,
We have a large number of people graduating this year, and would like to give them the proper send off that they deserve.  As such, an informal get together will be held at Peaches and Gradon's place on Saturday May 5th, starting at 8pm.  This is a BYOB event, so as not to tax the gracious hospitality of our hosts. 

Currently we have volunteers for a batch of the Tom.  We also have a meat dish of some kind, an appetizer of some kind, something vegetarian, a desert of some kind, and what ever else people bring.  My suggestion would be for those of you who plan on drinking/aren't underage banned, bring some sort of spirited drink and or mixer.  For the young ones among us snacks, food, and non-spirited beverages are also appreciated.   

I know this falls during finals, but hopefully many of y'all will be able to come on out!  Come on it's a Caine Graduation party AND Cinco De Mayo.  You KNOW you want to come play with us ;).

I have some money set aside for alcohol (enough for a decent amount of delicious liquor) and was wondering if we should coordinate the non-Tom alcohol so we get a decent variety rather than over 9000 bottles of Parrot Bay in various flavors.

Not that Parrot Bay's bad or anything...

As an aside, I have a bag of rye chips I could bring.

I totally support this plan.  So if you're lurking, sound off on what you think you might want to bring.  I know someone mentioned something about jello shots, I've directed someone to the recipe for the Tom, thus I can confirm that we have:

1) the Tom
2) Rolling Rock
3) bourbon/vodka/something that isn't rum

Possibles:
1) Sounds like we have a volunteer for Tequila (and I have a deliciously bad feeling about that one, so many good stories start with this one time we were drinking tequila)
2) Jello Shots
3) Still a lot of folks who haven't reported in, thus the possibilities are endless ;)

This is going to be an awesome send off party :)

As always, my Baeren-Jaeger will be there.

I have some tequila and margarita mix already, but more is always welcome.  I will probably pick up a few beers and some rum tomorrow as well as grab some coke, chips and dip.

Feel free to bring more of any of the above though!

Becoming less of a lurker...

I have bourbon (mixing bourbon, not sipping bourbon), and root beer (to mix with said bourbon, resulting drink is pretty good with a couple ice cubes, stirred so it's a bit frothy on top, ideal proportions bourbon:root beer::2:3).

Also, I went out and got drunk with some friends last night.  I guess you could say I'm warming up for the party?

(a pretty good drink we had: Admiral Nelson Cherry Rum and Diet Citrus Drop (Kroger store brand), it looks like light beer (in low light levels at least, we had Detroit Metal City on in the background) but tastes pretty good)

(also, Detroit Metal City would be pretty good for a WTF theme showing)

I'm also planning to bring Amaretto cupcakes if nothing goes wrong and Paul's bringing a pizza.
