With several of us playing HeartGold/SoulSilver we'll need a Pokémon thread at some point so I decided to make it now.

I only played for half an hour yesterday after I got it. Today however I've been playing nonstop since 10pm. Going kinda slow since I've having too much fun exploring and looking for Pokemon to catch.

I've beaten Falkner (fuck yeah Mareep) and made it to Azalea so far. My adventuring team for now is Bayleef, Flaffy and Ghastly. Definitely need more for my party but Bayleef and Flaffy are kicking ass. Ghastly...needs to learn another attack move besides lick which is physical. She'll learn Nightshade at lvl15 so that will be tolerable. I wish I had my Umbreon right now.

I'll post my friend code later. Lol wasted so much time deciding if I wanted my multiplayer sprite to be a Lady or Lass type but went with slow and elegant Lady.

So how's adventuring going for everyone else?

Well, I've been putting in hours wherever I can. Even got in some playtime tonight on the eve of a weather exam.

I made it to Goldenrod City today and will likely be there for a while. My Geodude needs to get tougher before I take on Whitney.

Main party Pokemon right now are Quilava, Geodude, and Bellsprout. I'm just doing whatever I want with my party right now because I have a bunch of great stuff waiting to be shipped in from Pearl.

My multiplayer sprite is Ace Trainer, of course.

Also, been abusing the Pokewalker. It's a great little tool.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to gamble for a Dratini.

Once I get my copy (tomorrow, I think - they upgraded the shipping because I sent in complaint) it should be touch and go with me for a while.

At least I made sure to bring my DS.  Now if I can just remember what happened to my FireRed...

Here's some events you might like to know:

March 5-26:
Obtain a Pikachu-colored Pichu in Platinum/Diamond/Pearl. You'll need it to activate an event in HeartGold/SoulSilver to obtain Spiky-eared Pichu at the Ilex Forest Shrine. Just got mine now so I'm ready.

April 1-30:
Yellow Forest Pokéwalker Route for HG/SS. The Yellow Forest will allow players to capture Pikachu that know moves they would not normally know including male Pikachu that know Fly and female ones that know Surf. Oh man I loved my Surfing Pikachu that I got for doing a ton of crap in Stadium 2.

Not yet but I'll trade with him over Wi-Fi when I find the time. (Decided to trade directly into HG instead of using Pearl as an intermediary)

Also my PokeFever is out of control. I'm currently downloading the two newest movies (Arceus and Darkrai) since I enjoy those.

I liked the Dialga vs. Palkia vs. Darkrai movie and since I just learned it forms a trilogy with the next two movies I have to watch them.

If and when I get this, I'll just power through it as fast as I can.  I have all of the pokemon in the game already except for a few legendaries, so I'll want to get to the endgame as soon as possible. 

If any of you guys get a nat'l dex, remember I can breed just about anything you want.  Diamond Dex is at 476.

Sweet since my main goal is completing my Pokedex. I'll probably need help with legendary/event Pokemon and version exclusives. Everything else should be fine though time-consuming.

Anyway just beat Whitney. Jesus Christ I forgot how annoying her Miltank was. Good thing for Curse, Thunder Wave and Growl. Whitney's battle animation is cute though.

I'm not 100% on event pokemon, sadly.  I have Darkrai, Jirachi, and Deoxys but missed out on Arceus and Shaymin.  Don't have a Mew or Celebi either. 

But if you want any starters, or want a baby version of just about any non-legendary, I can help you out.  My three major motivations for getting SoulSilver are getting the gerbils, getting a Palkia to keep, and to replay my favorite Pokemon game in the series.
