Finally, after consulting the Internets I have discovered that this iteration of Safari Zone may actually be the best one ever. Seeing as how you supposedly eventually get to BECOME ITS OWNER and all.

P.S. Does anyone's Red Gyarados have an Adamant nature? I'll trade valuable commodities for it.

Also, I discovered what happens when you acquire a non-Johto Pokemon (like my Honchkrow) before you get the National Dex. It just doesn't even show up in the Dex, and its ID number becomes ???. You can still do as you please, though.

In my imagination Honya starts becoming HARD GAY for Whitney after fighting her Miltank and having to use Ghastly's Curse to take it down. At this point she's not sure whether it's just admiration or something else. They meet again at the Pokethlon Dome and Honya has these weird feelings when Whitney gives her a jersey (relevant but sort of NSFW >>20486). Later on after dispatching Team Rocket at the radio tower she tells Whitney about how Silver stole her clothes and she felt raped. Then she starts crying in Whitney's arm and then...SUDDENLY YURI!

It's going to be an interesting polygon when Honya runs into Erika and Sabrina during the Kanto journey.

Did I mention Nanoha (from Pearl) was hard gay for Cynthia too?

Caught Lugia today after throwing a mixed assortment of some 15 or so Ultra Balls, Dusk Balls, and Net Balls at it. It was totally balls; that thing was a bitch-and-a-half to catch.

It's got a neutral Hardy nature, which I suppose is all right. Don't really want to try again, and I might just use Lugia in the main game for the hell of it.

By the way, I suggest you guys invest in an Azumarill or Slowbro; I used them to tank the bejeezus out of Lugia. They're Haruhi-tier tanks as far as I'm concerned.

My favorite water tanks are Vaporeon, Lapras, and Swampert.  Although using Slowbro is a genius move for anti-Lugia, for the Psychic type.
