Really though, I just want the crew to get back together.  Last week's chapter was called "One Outrageous Development After Another" for good reason.  Things are getting too crazy.  I just want the crew to get back together and calm the FUCK down.  Too much adrenaline.

It's getting there, it's getting there.  I'm liking the adrenaline, but we have to be close to the end at this point with another of the rising starts coming onto the scene.

And yup, he's a doctor.  Also called the Surgeon of Death in places. 

He also seems to be a rather upstanding guy.  One day I'm sure he'll be one of the captains in the Strawhat Fleet. :D

Ahaha, I always forget these things.

Yeah, I'm okay with all the action and tension, but you can tell its winding down. Gradually.

And I rather like the fact that there's a whole new cast of characters we're getting to know. I mean, I love the Strawhat crew (this week's color spread was cute), but the fact that Luffy's on his own (sorta) now lends some variety to Oda's story-telling structure, in my opinion.

Plus it's going to give him ground for the upcoming timeskip.  Luffy's going to need time to recover and that'll hopefully give the rest of the crew to all gather with Raleigh since they all have his vitre card. 

Zoro will naturally have the next crew member, the scout, Perona in tow since he won't be able to follow directions well enough to get back to Saboady on his own.

But what I'm still waiting for, and what probably won't happen now that Luffy is being evacuated, is for Dragon to show up (most likely with Robin since she was freed from the slave bridge by the revolutionaries).

And that means he can absorb one more...

I think it has to be some Yami Yami no hax.  Like, pure darkness absorbs all light, and pure darkness devil's fruit can absorb other devil's fruit?  I just hope they don't give him, like, EVERY power. 

And bullshit on Perona being the next crew member.  It's Jimbei, no-one, or someone we haven't met.  Totally can see Perona as the heroine of a new chapter cover story, though.

Jimbei is too big and too serious to be the next nakama.  Now that Whitebeard is gone I figure he's going to take up the banner of protecting Fishman Island.

And also, why the hell do the Mugiwaras need a scout?  This is a ship, not a cavalry brigade.  Robin can create eyes wherever she wants, Franky's got his mini-boats, and Nami's the best navigator of all time!  OF ALL TIME!

And you don't think someone who can phase through an opposing ship or slip through the walls of a prison finding the right cell for a capture comrade would be valuable? 

Poor Zoro gets stuck in the crow's nest most of the time and proves to be a useless lookout with all his napping.  Perona seems perfectly suited to the task.

To tell you the truth, I think Zoro makes a wonderfully accurate navigator.

And I'm thinking if Oda wanted Jimbei to be the next Strawhat, Luffy would've already popped the question (Would you be my nakama?). But seriously, Tom, it won't be Perona.
