Anybody else played Minecraft? It's a very very fun sandbox game where you can build just about anything you want in this blocky world. You can build a little fortress like the one I made here. You build yourself a place to defend against all the monsters like skeletons and zombies that are out to kill you. People have built ridiculous sized things in Minecraft like shown here and here.
Is there a site somewhere that documents what you can make in the crafting interface? I gleaned a few things off of some youtube videos, but random experimentation hasn't found me anything other than a half-height stone block.
Of course, it doesn't really help that the world it generated for me is covered in snow, so I have to break through the snow to see terrain...
Also, when I was bored a while back, I carved my way through a mountain, but I died when I got out the other side and I can't find it again :( This game needs a world map or something.

Here's my latest creation, an observatory with a glass dome at the top of a mountain. I have a library underneath and I'm building a sky-bridge to a neighboring mountain.

Cartograph can be used to generate a world map. Not that useful for when you are inside mountains though.
