LadyRava and Wu, could you check your files of Captain Tylor to see if they default to Japanese? If either one of them do, I'll copy them over the next chance I get.

Mine are only Japanese, but there are some random audio problems in some of the episodes. I'm not sure they're usable, but I can give them to you anyway if you want to look them over. There aren't many torrents available with seeds since it's an old show.

Remuxing them isn't too difficult and would be all that's needed to swap the default languages.

I have mkvtoolnix installed and have been remuxing stuff for a while now (since last season).

It's still a month away but I'd like to start thinking about theme night ideas. I'm starting to think that I'm running out of ideas that I haven't used yet. I have no problem with reusing old ones but I'd like to see if anyone else has some other good suggestions.

The one I have now is "Game Day." Basically show an episode of an anime focused on competition. Sports? OK. Field days? Yep. Board Games? Sure. It's kind of vague but think Fumoffu Rugby or Koizumi. I believe it might be a fun shenanigans-type showing.

Paul and I have several ideas for episodes for the field day showing.

Not taking reservations right now but it's good to hear that people are thinking of possible episodes to show. Anyway I'm more interested in theme ideas right now more than anything.

I used different subs for Aquarion this week since I had trouble copying the files from my DVD. However next week we will be returning to the old group since I managed to transfer the files successfully after many failed attempts.

Oh and next week will be the last of the 10 episode sessions. After that we'll have a nice 3-3-3 schedule and an extra ~20 minutes or so per showing.

Schedule updated to reflect that we know the date of the Cherry Blossom Festival.

I also forgot to mention this at tonight's meeting. We will be going with the Game Day idea as mentioned in a post earlier. I'll try to mention it on the 17th but I guess those who use the forums will have a head start. Feel free to claim a spot early if you want but I have a few slots already reserved for various people.

I'll come down for the showing on the 16th or possibly the 23rd.  Basically, the county is forcing me to take a month off starting in early-mid April because I've maxed out my allotted work hours and I'm going to use the time off to travel.  Including at least a day or two in Cville.
