Well, we'll be going on Saturday, April 9th then. When the officer looked at it earlier, it seemed that they hadn't finalized the date yet so there were multiple dates listed. As for a day to meet and plan this in more detail and talk about future CAINE meetings, we could meet either: Sunday, March 13th (this is the Sunday right after Spring Break) Wednesday, March 16th Saturday, March 19th It seems like evenings would work the best for everybody, so we could meet around 7PM unless there are any objections. Let me know which date for the planning meeting would work best for ya'll. Oh, I also have a car (It seems we have an abundance of drivers). =P

Sunday/Wednesday would probably work best for me.
EDIT: Nevermind, found the volunteer information site.
Also, a charge for Sakura Matsuri?! Extreme sad face.

I don't know where you saw that it costs money Mr. Universe. You are mistaken.

Quoted for the lazy: We are currently working out a plan to fence in this year’s festival. We came to this decision after reading and hearing many complaints from visitors that the festival is now too crowded, and they are not able to experience everything the festival has to offer. The number one mission of the festival is to provide a unique and enjoyable Japanese experience. The festival should be a place where people can come and learn about Japan on many different levels.
So, to improve the quality of the festival and give our visitors a great experience, we have decided to fence in the festival and charge a nominal admission for the first time in over 20 years. The festival will now cost $5 for everyone 13 years of age and older; however, volunteers will be allowed in for free. Seems kind of fishy to me. You'd think if they were going to charge money there'd be something about it anywhere else on their website other than the "sign up to volunteer" page. Of course, their web site's design is horrible and presents no useful information on attending the thing other than the date.

Well, in the end it's only $5 anyways. I can live with that.

Either way, everyone should be bringing well over $5 for food and such. Everyone can just bring five extra dollars just in case.
