Yah!  With something you actually build and put work into, it's different.  I like to do papercraft.  It's so utterly useless, but amusing at the same time.

While I understand what you are saying about Gundams and papercraft, the point is that we should realize that this is all pointless anyway so we shouldn't be questioning others' motivations since it is all fundamentally the same. Just because we don't like something or have any interest in it doesn't mean we have to ask someone else why they would like it because we already know the answer ourselves. Everything our club encompasses does nothing to fulfill our basic requirements to live yet we still do it because we LIKE it so does it really matter at all?

It also seems like there is a focus on "I did that" somehow being superior whereas I am more concerned that anyone at all whether that be myself or someone else actually spent the time and put in that effort to make something. I honestly don't care who did the damn thing as long as the actual product turned out nicely.

Am I seriously the only one who buys things because of pure artistic beauty?

Oh, I know the feeling!  I'm gonna go crazy, or I would if it weren't already too late.  So I apologize too.  I'm doing terrible in most of my classes and it's making me sad.  D:

And yeah, I am below average in all of my classes except my one-credit physics lab. I now have to get like a 100% on all of my finals to keep a decent GPA that won't make my dad go "wtf."
