Original post by Zanaikin You know... I thought this thread was suppose to be SFW, rather than NOT =P Relax, panties and frosting are still SFW. But if I could hand out REAL promotions without getting B&, well... ah, but there's an NSFW board for that kind of stuff anyway. So, I suppose it's back to Gundam business. Hey XT, take this X Gundam and go drop more Xboxes. I even gave you the optional satellite cannon. I promise there'll be more promotions later. Maybe if you guys unlock another achievement, lulz.

zomg brand-new MSV must post it nao Like it says right on the pages, this is the Gundam Throne Eins Turbulenz. With the additional equipment, the GN Launcher is replaced by a more manageable GN Blaster, and Throne Eins gains a Kyrios-esque flight mode as well as its own set of GN Fangs. It's pretty cool. Moreover, this is an official design from Sunrise, so maybe we get to see this in action sometime.

Ah, I don't really feel like posting a Gundam today, but I have to anyway - but instead of anything detailed, I'm keeping it pretty plain today. Here's the Gundam Astray Green Frame. In all seriousness, nothing is known about this mobile suit. Nothing at all.

lulz I'm working on a lot of Astronomy right now, so check out this Stargazer. It's not called "Gundam" officially, but it is more or less a Gundam. It's a pretty cool one, too, though I don't have the time to explain right now. Will post tech specs later. Also dead boards are dead

Well, this won't revive them, but here are the promised Stargazer tech specs: General and Technical Data Model number: GSX-401FW Code name: Stargazer Unit type: non-combat space exploration mobile suit Manufacturer: Deep Space Survey & Development Organization (DSSD) Operator: DSSD First deployment: C.E. 74 Accommodation: pilot and co-pilot, in removable cockpit in torso Dimensions: head height 18.94 meters Weight: max gross weight 76.22 metric tons (mobile suit only); 83.59 metric tons (equipped with "Voiture Lumiere" ring) Armor materials: unknown Powerplant: ultracompact energy battery, power output rating unknown Equipment and design features: sensors, range unknown; "Voiture Lumiere" light propulsion system; removable Artificial Intelligence unit, nanomachine repair system Fixed armaments: 2 x beam shield generator, mounted on forearms Optional hand armaments: KMS71/J beam pistol Technical and Historical Notes In late C.E. 73, the Deep Space Survey & Development Organization (DSSD) develops an advanced space exploration mobile suit, the GSX-401FW Stargazer. As part of its exploration mission, the Stargazer is intended to be unmanned and controlled by Artificial Intelligence. In addition to the advanced AI, the Stargazer includes the new "Voiture Lumiere" interplanetary propulsion system. A laser fired from a DSSD satellite hits the "Voiture Lumiere" ring, propelling the Stargazer and allowing it to build up speed over time as it travels between planets. The "Voiture Lumiere" system is also utilized by the Martian GSF-YAM01 Δ Astray, and variants are used by the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam and ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam. As part of its autonomous design, the Stargazer is equipped with a nanomachine repair system. Although the Stargazer is intended as a non-combat unit, it does have defensive and offensive capabilities. The Stargazer can deflect and capture incoming beam shots to create a field of beam cutters. In addition, it can use the beam pistol utilized by the UT-1D Civilian Astray DSSD Custom. When used in combat, the Stargazer's AI unit is replaced with a cockpit block for two pilots. The Stargazer's pretty cool, since it's the first Gundam I had found that was optimized for interstellar travel, and the beam-capture system is awesome. It's also interesting since it's built more for non-combat purposes, unlike almost every other Gundam ever.

Hurr, so the bigass ring thing is its propulsion system. Though I'm not sure how that would work, given Newton's 3rd law -- if the satellite is somehow managing to propel the Gundam, it'll experience an equal and opposite propulsion, eventually destabilizing its orbit.
Though I guess in the Gundam world standard laws of physics don't apply.

Using Gundam logic, I'd say that the beam from the satellite doesn't propel the Stargazer directly, and instead energizes the Stargazer so that the Gundam can propel itself. But, since I have little working knowledge of physics, there's probably something wrong with that theory. You're right, Gundam never was known for hard science fiction. I mean, just look at the lulz particles in 00. If you want hard science, you're better off checking out Gunbuster, which actually had short science lessons at the end of each episode narrated by chibi versions of the characters. There are tits and explosions in Gunbuster, too. :D Maybe try it, you might like it.

Haruhi dammit, meant to post this picture along with the previous post. Moar Stargazer, desu. Also, can we get a wordfilter to change "lulz particles" to "lulz particles" even if I'm the only one likely to use it?
