I thought it's mostly because BBA has the most complex battle-system of all the alicegames?
I tried to read the alicewiki guide for it years back... the sequence of events was also a lot messier than Sengoku Rance too---

also Tom, I got a copy of BBA if you want, just bring like 2.ish GBs of flash for it or something ;D
can also give you a rundown of how the gameplay elements work--- took me a while to figure it all out (Alicewiki's docs are really messy for anything but character clears on this one).
given troop positioning is so much more important in this one than Sengoku Rance (only units placed in a territory can intercept attacks, not to mention gather taxes & maintain public order), this is a more difficult strategy game than Sengoku itself...
I still wish the game designers and artists find themselves a better studio though xD. Since Alice can't write a story worth dam and is just... sketchy as hell (although MC here is leagues better than Rance >.>)

sure, although I have to give a fair warning ahead of time--- for all of Alice's character & game design skills, they like putting way too much sketchy H into their games; requires some gratuitous amounts of fast-forwarding in my case but can still get very uncomfortable...
Game is also making me want to play BBBB again; although I wish you can use Kongoumaru Aya and her metal wires to fight in that one~

Okay, so some of you already know, but I've spent the last few days completely fangasming over G-Senjou no Maou (the Devil on G-string) by Akabeisoft2...
G-Senjou is a mix of criminal suspense/drama and great romance/drama; it features a heck lot of multilayered mind games, a really awesome core cast of characters (its protagonist is heir of a yakuza clan, its villain is pretty much Lelouch [same voice too], and its heroine is utterly GARmoe~), and one of the most epic story finales I've ever seen...
TLwiki just finished translating it over Christmas.

devil on G-string, totally stoked about it for the last 2 weeks, just finished the 1st path... totally phailed though, Yeah, I was on Kannon's path before I knew it. Although, the ending didn't get me emotional at all... it seemed abrupt

Her bad end hurls in like a brick from nowhere. Her climatic scene is on the good end's side (as usual :P). You also don't placate people's family/career issues by having by having sex with them in the changing room; yeah definitely bad choice =P

ah the split off is where she wanted to say something to me, well, I couldn't say no, b/c the main character is her bro after all, so eh, should listen to her sister. That's from what I realized as her first time turning family relation into a romantic one. (that's when I saved and left off on saturday) next morning.... the transition window said kannon's chapter. The first H-scene came out of no where (no choices) .... which I totally didn't "approve" of. The second one well, since they are already down that path plus she looked really sad and asked for it... so eh..... I totally thought if I just did what she wants and ----> good ending. but, yeah sadly the main story line didn't carry over at all, really want to do usami's route, she is, after all the best character of the story.
